Opening for Fiddle Super-Group Portage

We are honoured to be performing the Opening Set for the fiddle Super-Group Portage as part of the Brampton Folk Club’s Friday Folk Night concert series. Portage is a new “super-group” of five fiddlers and accompanists from across Canada, bringing you old and new traditions in a collective musical adventure. These high energy fiddlers are leaders in their stylistic fields, with roots in Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario, the Prairies, Appalachia and the West Coast. The members of PORTAGE are Anne Lederman, Erynn Marshall, Laura Risk, Christina Smith (hey, that’s Les’ sister!) and Jean Hewson.

The concert will be held Sanderson Hall, in the upper level of St. Paul’s United Church, 30 Main St. South, Brampton.

Tickets are just $22 Advance, and $25 At the Door/Day of the Concert, and  can be purchased: from the City Box Office, either online or in person at the Rose Theatre after noon on weekdays, or from St. Paul’s United Church (30 Main St. South) in person during regular business hours. Advanced tickets can also be reserved through the folk club’s website (Friday Folk Night Reservations) or by calling the folk club hotline at 647-233-3655. Tickets will also be available for purchase on the day at the door.
